Beer vs Jog
Free for iPhone

Beer in.
Miles out.

Beer vs Jog keeps track of the balance between the beers you drink and the miles you run. Log the beer when you've had it and the run when you're home. The needle shows right away whether you're up or down.

Home screen with beer in the bank: +38 beers

How it works

Two taps for a beer, two taps for a run. The app does the rest.

1

Had a beer

Pick a size and a style. Calories are worked out from alcohol content and residual sugar, so an IPA costs more than a lager.

2

Went running

Enter the distance, and the time if you like. Burn is worked out from your body weight, which you set once.

3

The needle decides

The balance is burned minus consumed. It's shown in beers, with the calories as the receipt, and converted into how far you still have to run.

Beer debt
−3.1
× 12 oz lager · −455 kcal

Run 3.64 mi and you're even. Somebody's going for a run. Guess who.

Beer in the bank
+38
× 12 oz lager · +5591 kcal

You've run 44.7 mi in advance. The run paid off, with interest.
